Have you ever wanted to see the world? Travel to exotic locations? If you’re looking to read about it, you’re in the wrong place. I’m just a youngin from small town Midwestern America. But I love America, and I especially love the road. I’ve been thinking back recently to the trips I’ve had in my lifetime, times where I haven’t slept for days, where I’ve suffered from travel induced bowel movement issues, where I’ve ended up sandwiched in between a man in overalls with a unibrow and my mother in the front seat of a tow truck going 90 mph on a small state highway laden with potholes all while feeling sick and really having to go pee. There have been fights, near death experiences, and tears. There have been trips with barely any silver lining, and yet the minute I get home, I think “When can I do that again?” These aren’t stories about living it up in a foreign country, this is a blog about non-glamorous Americana, dirty motel rooms, unfortunate events, and loving every second of the road.
